So, first note, the only people that showed up were Me, VAE, Moose, Nouva, and Tox (kinda). Seriously, a lot more of you said you could be there, and you weren't. That's an issue. But, anyways, back to the point.
So, basically, there are 5 things proposed here.
1: Deown Hock and have Cad become the MA.
2: Make chat more prominent.
3: Raise the quality standard of the site.
4: Ask Ed to switch control of all rooms he owns over to Cad.
5: Make an official CI canon on the SCP site while still maintain this site (option 3 if Moose told anyone).
Moose, Nouva, VAE, and me all agreed to this, and request that it happen as soon as possible. If anyone has any dissent, please PM me.
Explanations:
NUMBER 1: So, as everybody probably knows by now, Hock is a twelve (or thirteen, I forget) year old kid that lies about his knowledge, activity, and ability to run a site. Considering all of this, we though that making Cad the MA of the site would make the most sense, since Hock would no longer be in control of everything and Cad can't handle the power is probably not in the same boat. Or even same Ocean.
NUMBER 2: So, chat, as it currently is, is a chat that almost never gets used and only gets used for any form of real community interaction or critique once a month, if that. We need to change that. If you paid attention to the SCP wiki, the wiki started to bloom once the chat became a thing. So we need to use it more often.
NUMBER 3: So, as we are now, the quality on this site is complete shit. We accept nearly anything as long as it isn't terrible, and make sure to lower our standards if we come here and to SCP (myself included). This is a bad thing. If we ever want to become official, we should start acting like we can at least be close to the SCP wiki, especially if we're going to add a canon to it.
NUMBER 4: So (yes I am starting everything with so, fite me irl), we talked about Ed. At first, people seemed in favor of demoting Ed, but Moose brought up the idea of keeping Ed as an admin, but making Cad own everything so that Ed has less influence in case he fucks up again. Otherwise, he gets demoted to Mod. Ed, I would like you to do this without making us force you to do anything, but seriously, we can't trust you to not do anything that you already did again. Please, just do it without any humiliation.
NUMBER 5: So, if anyone (and by anyone I mean Ed and Cad) knew about this, this is what Moose said was option 3. For a bit of context: Moose said that there were 3 things that could be done to save the site. Option 1, they said raze the site and burn the ashes and set up a canon on the CI wiki, which allows for content control, but runs the risk of ending up like the GOC hub that Clef made: barely remembered and outdated. Option 2, they said to allow the site to stay, but to allow for content control. This is also fine, but it means that quality will be less good and may also become forgotten.
Then, there's option 3: combine both, make them have a baby, and create a CI canon on the SCP site and allow this site to stay. It allows for quality writing, interest from both sides, continues administration from both sides, and is basically awesome. This is the option everyone seems to like.
